Laundry Service: Washed and Dried (Expanded Edition)

Laundry Service: Washed and Dried (Expanded Edition) is a especial digital release for Laundry’s Service 20th anniversary. It includes four additional tracks to the original album, including the remix used in the live presentation of the smash hit “Whenever, Wherever” at the Super Bowl in 2020.

In a video about the 20 years of Laundry Service, Shakira talked about and the experience of creating her first album in English:

Laundry Service was the first english language album that I made. It was a huge challenge for me, at the time, and a big opportunity. At that point I had had some success in the Spanish World, but it was exhilarating and caring at the same time pushing myself towards new territories.
I always liked to play with different influences, like middle-eastern, rock, Latin-American, folk. I grew up being a huge fan of Nirvana, Metallica and Led Zeppelin. It seemed natural to want to explore who I was as an artist also in English.
