The Rapture is the last studio album by Siouxsie and the Banshees. It was released on 16th January 1995 and reached position 33 in the UK singles chart and 127 in the US Billboard 200. It ties in with the albums predecessor Superstition with pop melodies on songs like “O Baby” or “Stargazer” while offering darker and heavier songs like “Not Forgotten” or “Love Out Me”.
Record producer and musician John Cale, former member of The Velvet Underground, produced a large part of the tracks.
By the start of tour supporting the album, they were dropped by their label.
