Battle Born

The Killers

About “Battle Born”

Battle Born is the fourth album by American group The Killers. It was released four years after the groups preceding effort, Day & Age – frontman Brandon Flowers recorded his debut solo album in the interim.

The album name is taken from the band’s recording studio, Battle Born Studios, which they acquired and renamed in 2008. The phrase “battle born” originally appears on the Nevada state flag, which is the band’s home state.

The album was preceded by the lead single, “Runaways,” and further promoted post-release by singles “Miss Atomic Bomb” and “Here With Me.”

Like all other LPs by The Killers, the album received generally positive reviews on release. Despite only moderate critical praise, Battle Born was voted the second best album of 2012 by readers of Rolling Stone Magazine.
