Day & Age

The Killers

About “Day & Age”

Day & Age is the third studio album by American rock group The Killers. Released in November 2008, Day & Age is a stylistic departure for the group, who traded their indie-rock style for a more synth-heavy pop approach.

The release was preceded by the incredibly successful lead single “Human”, which charted worldwide and went platinum in both the UK and the US.

Lead vocalist Brandon Flowers has stated that Day & Age is the groups “most playful record” – the light latin beats of “Joy Ride” and “I Can’t Stay” definitely showcase the Killers at their most carefree. These groovy dance-centric tunes are balanced out by tracks such as “A Dustland Fairytale” and “This Is Your Life”, which are classic examples of the group’s signature melodramatic narratives.

The album received generally positive reviews on release, with one critic praising its impressive consistency and contagious confidence.
