I Only Listen to the Mountain Goats: In League with Dragons

This album contains demo recordings for all songs on the Mountain Goats' 2019 album, In League with Dragons. The tracks were individually released through season two of the podcast I Only Listen to the Mountain Goats.

Like in the first season, about All Hail West Texas, Joseph Fink (co-founder of Night Vale Presents) joins John Darnielle (singer-songwriter of the Mountain Goats) in conversation. Each episode, a different song on In League with Dragons (or as it was called at the time, Younger) is discussed.
What distinguishes this from the previous season is that recording for the podcast began before the album was even mixed or sequenced, giving a clear look into the creative process. As recording for the podcast continued, so did the development of the album.

The introductory episode was released on April 4, 2019, with weekly episodes through April 25 (the day before the release of ILwD) and biweekly episodes thereafter.
