Songs For Peter Hughes is named after (and features on its cover) the future bassist for the Mountain Goats, Peter “Peter Peter Hughes” Hughes. Hughes had played on and off in the Mountain Goats, but would not officially (and permanently) join the band until Tallahassee (2002).
Rachel Ware plays bass on this EP and provides backing vocals on some of the tracks.
