Recorded between November 1972 – July 1973 in four different studios ( Dynamic Sound in Kingston, Jamaica; Village Recorders in Los Angeles; Olympic Studios in London; and London’s Island Studios ), Goat’s Head Soup became the Stones' fifth consecutive authorized release to top the UK album chart and the third in America. The album’s success represented an important milestone for the band as it mirrored the performance of both Exile on Main St and Sticky Fingers, standing as validation that the Stones were as popular as ever.
