Tristessa

The release of “Tristessa” changed everything for the Smashing Pumpkins. Indie label Sub Pop pressed about 15,000 copies, almost all of which sold shortly after its release in December of 1990, just seven months after their debut I Am One was released and sold out. The result was a record deal with Caroline Records, preceding their first LP release a year later.
