About “Odessey and Oracle”

Released on April 1968, Odessey and Oracle is perhaps the Zombies' most popular album, gaining fast critical acclaim. Its psychedelic, rock and pop themes allowed the album to be held as one of the most influential albums of the 60s, as well as one of the best from that era, considering the entries on multiple “best of all time” lists (such as Rolling Stone).

Four singles were released from Odessey and Oracle: Friends of Mine, Care of Cell 44, Time of the Season and Butcher’s Tale (Western Front 1914). Time of the Season became an instant classic and offered the Zombies' worldwide popularity.
