About “Hinahanap-Hanap Kita Manila”

Hinahanap-Hanap Kita Manila is a compilation of cover songs performed by modern-day OPM artists as tribute to the groundbreaking 70’s pop rock band Hotdog who were credited for starting the Manila Sound movement. As part of a grander picture, the songs were performed under the Manila Heritage Concert which was spearheaded by the country’s Department of Tourism and the National Parks and Development Committee as a way of promoting the different heritage sites found in Manila, the country’s capital. Each of the performances were done at a specific location in Manila (e.g. Paco Park, Luneta Park, etc.).

The musical arrangement was done by Francis de Veyra, the bassist of the band Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas who also performed the instrumentals of each song.
