Whitney is the second studio album by American singer Whitney Houston, released on June 2, 1987, via Arista Records. The album marked her first in two years since the release of her self-titled debut album in 1985. Commercially, the album reached the top spot on the United States Billboard 200 for eleven consecutive weeks and has sold more than twenty-million copies worldwide to date.
A total of six singles were released from the album: “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me),” “Didn’t We Almost Have It All,” “So Emotional,” “Where Do Broken Hearts Go,” “Love Will Save the Day” and “I Know Him So Well” featuring Cissy Houston.
