The “other London”, it’s an industrial town of about 350,000 people. It also hosts a university of about 35,000 and a community college with about 15,000 students, clustered in student ghettos, so students definitely set the tone in the areas I frequent. It boasts a vibrant night life, with many scummy bars and clubs to choose from. It’s known as the “Forest City” owing to an amusing incident in which city officials thought it would be a good idea to denude it of trees, and then regretted it. They then planted more trees than there had ever been.
Musically speaking, it’s not a major tour destination, but attracts some interesting acts, e.g. Waka Flocka, Rich Homie Quan, and a steady stream of prominent DJs. It boasts an OHL hockey team and an NBL basketball team, for what it’s worth.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, it’s the hometown of Shad, GOAT Canadian rapper.

This state-of-the-art stadium, seating 34,074, is home to the Cats. It has hosted matches since the 19th century, with a record attendance of 49,107 in 1952. Naming rights mean that it is now officially known as Simonds Stadium.
