In one of Aesop’s most famous fables, “The Tortoise and the Hare”, a hare challenges a tortoise to a race, sure he will win because he is much faster. He’s so sure, in fact, that he takes a nap during the race, and the tortoise plods to victory whilst his opponent snoozes.

Kendrick is just as determined as the tortoise. He’s not going to burn himself out by releasing loads of music in a short space of time, like Future or Drake – he’s going to make sure everything he releases is perfect, until he’s the undisputed champion.

With three best-selling albums to her name, it’s safe to say Adele is rolling in money – her wealth has been estimated at about £100m ($150m). Kendrick’s claiming to have twice as much cash – that would make him worth around $300m!

Despite what he boasts, Kendrick’s net-worth doesn’t amount to a quarter of this total.

However, he could be talking about his deep meaning lyrics, rather than net-worth which does not make sense as his is far less. Rolling deep in the paper in a sense that when he writes rhymes, he writes deep stuff in the paper.
