Counterparts hail from Ontario, Canada and were founded in January, 2007. Their music is known for being heavy, having technical rhythmic patterns and the intensely personal songwriting of vocalist Brendan Murphy. The band is completed by rhythm guitarist Adrian Lee, lead guitarist Blake Hardman, drummer Kyle Brownlee and bassist Tyler Williams.
