About David Kershenbaum

David Kershenbaum is an American record producer. He has produced music for many diverse musical groups and artists, including Tracy Chapman, Duran Duran, Joe Jackson, Bryan Adams, Supertramp, Cat Stevens, and Tori Amos. He has also worked on a number of feature films, including executive producing Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and serving as the music supervisor for The Last of the Mohicans and Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. He is also the creator, director, and writer of the stage musical Raiding the Rock Vault, which was voted Best Musical 2014 in the Las Vegas Review Journal Readers' Poll.

He was nominated for a Grammy for Best Producer Of The Year in 1988 for his work on Tracy Chapman’s 1988 debut album, Tracy Chapman. That album went on to win three Grammy awards, including Best New Artist, Best Contemporary Folk Album, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, for the song “Fast Car.”
