About John Congleton

John Congleton (born April 5, 1977) is an American record producer, singer-songwriter, sound engineer, mixer, and composer from Lubbock, TX.

He has produced works with Modest Mouse, Franz Ferdinand, David Byrne, The Polyphonic Spree, R. Kelly, The Roots, Sleater Kinney, and John Vanderslice.

He was awarded a Grammy for Best Alternative Album in 2014 for his work with St. Vincent on her eponymous album, St. Vincent.

He is also the former frontman of The Paper Chase (1997-2010) and current frontman of John Congleton & The Nighty Nite (2011-present).
