Ryan Michael Dusick (simply known as “Ryan Dusick”, born September 19, 1977, in Los Angeles) is best known as the founding drummer for the American pop-rock band, Maroon 5. He joined up with teenage friends Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, and Mickey Madden in 1994 as Kara’s Flowers before rebranding themselves into Maroon 5 in 2001 with the recruitment of James Valentine.

Ryan departed from the band in 2006 due to severe shoulder and arm injuries after intense continuous touring and was replaced by Matt Flynn, though, he was credited as the musical director for Maroon 5’s sophomore album, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long released in 2007. Currently working as a speaker and a therapist, he released his book, “Harder to Breathe: A Memoir of Making Maroon 5, Losing It All, & Finding Recovery” in 2022
