Jack White just released his second single from his album Lazaretto!

PLEASE help me out with the lyrics! Some are pretty hard to understand and there are some spanish lines that I’m not sure of.

Also, he mentions God as being a woman multiple times which is very interesting – @newsgeniuseditors any thoughts?

• Is it “God as a woman” or “a woman as God”?
• Born rotten/bored rotten?
• Been got and/begotten?

The lyric in the final verse sounds like “the cast of the masses”. Could it be caste? Or even cash?

These are the two God lines:

• “And even God herself has fewer plans than me”
• “And I shake God’s hand / I jump up and let her know when I can / This is how I’m gonna do it”

It seems like a “God as a woman” approach literally, though I wwouldn’t be surprised by the opposite

I still think it is “born rotten”, though I agree with you on “begotten” rather than “been got and”.

I’m thinking this could be about his latest divorce, which took a while to go through. Particularly with those lines about having his children taken away.
