Looks like people REALLY hate that new Avril Lavigne video

It’s a bit cringy, but that Billboard review? It might not be the most prestigious publication, but they should’ve gave the assignment to a less biased reviewer. It’s unprofessional for one of the music world’s top magazines to bash the video like a gossip site.

It’s funny cause if it was a Death Set song I would probably love it

Apparently everyone who is outraged is still watching and resharing it.

I’m kinda over the “calling white female singer’s music videos racist just because they use a lot of POCs” trend.

From what I observe, she has plenty of Japanese input for the video, and her Japanese fanbase will receive it kindly. The outrage will come mostly from people outside of the “victim” demographic (although that’s not always bad–as long as the target of racism are also offended).

People need to be more careful, because calling an essentially unracist video racist makes it more difficult to call out truly racist media.

The annoying ass auto-tune is what ruins it for me. Not the worst song I’ve ever heard, but probably the most annoying.

auto-tune? Fuck? I meant Dubstep
