The 4th song off The Doors' final album with Jim Morrison, L.A. Woman.
A typical blues-rock song possibly about an argument with a lover and the feelings that come with it. Ray Manzarek recalled that “Jim said it was about living in Venice [Beach], in a hot room, with a hot girlfriend, and an open window, and a bad time. It could have been about Pamela Courson”.
A new version of the song was included on the 2007 re-release of the LA Woman album, which featured new mixes of the songs by the remaining members of the band and their original engineer Bruce Botnick. The updated song had an added verse and a new stereo mix.
