I’ll Take You There Lyrics
Even if there's nowhere left to go
I'll take you there, I'll take you there
And if it ever feels like there is nowhere left to turn
I'll take you there, always be there, please take me there
[Verse 1: Kellin Quinn]
I've watched myself struggle with this fear of falling down
'Cause I've seen a silhouette of me
Who is this stranger I've become?
Who is this man that I've become?
[Chorus: Kellin Quinn]
Even if there's nowhere left to go
I'll take you there, I'll take you there
And if it ever feels like there is nowhere left to turn
I'll take you there, always be there, please take me there
[Verse 2: Kellin Quinn]
I lost myself, I questioned if I had the strength to move
'Cause I get up and then I fall back down
I look up and there's nobody around
It's quiet and I hate the sound
So quiet and I hate the sound
How could I let myself come to this?
I'll take one more drink and then I'll be dismissed
I'm left to walk this world alone, I like it better on my own
For all the things I've done, who is this man that I've become?
Even if there's nowhere left to go
I'll take you there, I'll take you there
And if it ever feels like there is nowhere left to turn
I'll take you there, always be there, please take me there
[Bridge: Shayley Bourget]
This heart of mine is all for it, don’t be so ignorant
I wanna be (Wanna be)
Your very best intentions, babe
[Chorus: Kellin Quinn]
Even if there's nowhere left to go
I'll take you there, I'll take you there
And if it ever feels like there is nowhere left to turn
I'll take you there, always be there, please take me there
Even if there's nowhere left to go
I'll take you there, I'll take you there
And if it ever feels like there is nowhere left to turn
I'll take you there, always be there, please take me there
About
I’ll Take You There is about taking another person or persons along with you and not giving up even if the road gets bumpy. In this case Kellin is probably talking about his band. At this point in their career Sleeping With Sirens were at their peak and wanted to try something new. Similar to Linkin Park as they went from hard rock and rapcore to a more mainstream rock sound. This may be a maturity thing or plain curiosity. This could also refer to a relationship. Kellin may be telling his lover that he wants to make something work in their relationship and he will do whatever it takes to make it happen. Kellin goes over this same topic in his song “Go Go Go”. Lastly, due to Kellin’s thetic beleifs he could be talking to God; asking for God to keep his faith in him despite his change in attitude/personality.
