Emptiness Will Eat the Witch
About
On the last track of The Unnatural Word Dan questions if any of this is even helping. Many people who are depressed will try to express and vent themselves through art, which Dan does through Have a Nice Life. However, on this song Dan questions why this is important. He feels like its futile and not making a difference anyways.

Tim Macuga: It was one of the earliest we had completed while working on the album. Over time, as the rest of the material took shape, we felt that ending the album on a note of meditative uncertainty might be more appropriate – aesthetically, and narrative-wise – than driving towards complete exhaustion, like Earthmover did.
Dan Barret: Right. Partially, it was about not ending on a blowout, almost a mirror-image of our first record.
